A special pop-up clinic for Hancock residents for the first doses only of the COVID-19 vaccine will be held on Wednesday and Thursday April 21 and 22. Residents 18 and over may enter from 9 a.m. to noon or 1 to 1 p.m. daily to the Hancock Town Hall Auditorium, 126 West High St. Residents must bring a coin photo ID at the clinic.

Many important concerns and questions about COVID-19 vaccines were raised and addressed during the town hall.

COVID-19 VACCINE APPOINTMENT

MyChart appointments are now available for residents 18 and over.

REPORTING SIDE EFFECTS OF COVID-19 VACCINE

Anyone who has had side effects from any of the COVID-19 vaccines should report them to the CDC through its dedicated resource: https://vsafe.cdc.gov/en/. This information is essential in helping CDC staff learn more about the virus. Live support from v-safe is available Monday through Friday, 8:00 a.m. to 8:00 p.m., at 1-800-CDC-INFO (800-232-4636) or TTY 888-232-6348.

CHANGE OF COVID-19 LINE OF CARE HOURS

The COVID-19 line of care comprised of nurses from Meritus Health, which has been available since the start of the pandemic for people with health care issues related to COVID-19, will now be available Monday through Friday, 8 a.m. to 4 p.m. only, starting Monday. , April 12.

MERITUS HEALTH DRIVE-THRU SCREENING CENTER

The drive-thru testing center for COVID-19 is open weekdays from 8:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m. and Saturdays from 8:00 a.m. to 2:00 p.m.

The screening center is located behind Meritus Medical Plaza at 13620 Crayton Blvd., Hagerstown. The tests are available to everyone, including those who are not currently showing symptoms of the coronavirus, but who suspect or fear they have been exposed. No appointment or referral is necessary to be tested. Test results are usually available within a day through a patient’s My Chart account or primary care provider.
