Local banks make appointments, welcome new faces

First United Bank welcomes Phyllis Bolt as Chairman’s Club Program Director
SHAWNEE, OK – First United Bank in Shawnee is delighted to announce that it is launching a Chairman’s Club. The Chairman’s Club is a social club for new and existing banking clients, aged 55 or over, which includes social events, learning opportunities and group travel for members. In addition to the social aspect, the Chairman’s Club chequing account has many attractive features for the account holder.
First United welcomes Phyllis Bolt as Chairman’s Club Program Director. Phyllis is a longtime Shawnee area resident and has been involved with many community organizations. She is currently a member of the board of directors of the GCTC Foundation, past chair of the Pottawatomie County Community Market and currently a member of the fundraising committee. She is also involved in Community Renewal Pottawatomie County as a block leader, sits on the sustainability committee, and helps with the CRPC Children’s Leadership Club. Phyllis is a member of the Wesley United Methodist Church. Regarding the new role, Phyllis said: “I look forward to promoting the bank and the pillars of Spend Life Wisely of Faith, Personal Growth, Well-being and Financial Well-being through this club for Spend Life Wisely. people aged 55 or over. First United’s goal of inspiring and empowering others at Spend Life Wisely can certainly be achieved through the Chairman’s Club and the program ideas I have. I am excited to begin !”
Outside of work, Phyllis enjoys art and has taught several acrylic painting classes for painting. She also asked for financial assistance from the residents of Shawnee to fund these classes for students at Horace Mann and Will Rogers elementary schools.

Phyllis and her husband, Ed Bolt, have four children and 15 grandchildren. They enjoy spending time with their families and watching their grandchildren at youth sporting events around Shawnee.

TFCU appoints new business development representative
OKLAHOMA CITY, OK – Tinker Federal Credit Union (TFCU) has appointed Lazaro Doucette-Martinez as its new business development representative. In her new role, Doucette-Martinez will work to maintain and build relationships between TFCU and local businesses in parts of Oklahoma, Logan, Payne, Lincoln and Pottawatomie counties.
An accomplished account manager and professional in business development, Doucette-Martinez joins TFCU with a vast and diversified professional experience. Prior to joining TFCU, Doucette-Martinez was a member of the Business Development team at Credit Human Federal Credit Union in San Antonio, Texas. During this time, Doucette-Martinez spent five years partnering with businesses and various organizations with the goal of reducing financial stress on members and employees, for the benefit of families and local communities.
During the past year at Credit Human, he also served on a small team as a loan officer during the COVID-19 crisis, securing Paycheck Protection Program loans totaling 24.5 million dollars and saving approximately 3,118 jobs in the state of Texas.
