Dartmouth – Nathalie L. (Anthony) Dias, 80, widow of Arthur F. Dias, died Thursday, February 17, 2022. She was the daughter of Luiz Anthony and Mary (Araujo) Mathias. Nathalie was proud to be a lifelong Dartmouth resident.
Nathalie was the sister of Leonora Lawson and the late Cletus, of Rosary Kay and the late Wesley, of Mary Hathaway and her husband Clifton, of her late brother Richard Anthony and his wife Jeanette (Nini), and of the late Maurice Anthony and of his wife Erika.
Nathalie was the mother of Jodi Sylvia and her husband Neil and Philip Dias and his wife Sandi. She leaves behind her grandchildren Stephanie Melo and her husband Steve, Christopher Saikali and his wife Nicole, Matthew Dias, Logan Reber and her great-grandchildren Jackson Saikali, Reagan Melo and Emma Saikali. She also leaves behind three generations of nieces and nephews and affectionately considered the Nat’s Brats part of her cherished family.
Nathalie loved her family, God, Dartmouth and her country. Nathalie retired from the City of Dartmouth as an employee of the Office of the Director of Finance and Treasurer. Nathalie was a member of the Dartmouth Select Board from 2004 to 2010 and has been a member of the town assembly since 1967. Nathalie has proudly served on numerous boards and committees throughout the town. She was a recipient of the Marian Medal and served faithfully on many boards and committees of St. Mary’s Church.
The family would like to give special thanks to the Hannah BG Shaw Home and Compassionate Care Hospice for their exceptional love and care during her final days. Arrangements welcome or in lieu of flowers, donations can be made in Nathalie’s name to the Alzheimer’s Association.
His funeral will be held on Thursday, February 24, 2022 at 10 a.m. at the Waring-Sullivan House in Dartmouth, 230 Russells Mills Rd., Dartmouth, followed by a funeral mass at 11 a.m. at St. Mary’s Church, Dartmouth St., Dartmouth.
