Shawano/Pulaski – Gerald “Jerry” J. Lasecki, 72, Shawano and formerly of Pulaski, died Tuesday, April 12, 2022 at Thedacare Medical Center, Shawano. Harvey and Aurelia (Smith) Lasecki’s son was born on April 8, 1950 in Green Bay. He was diagnosed with polio when he was five years old.

Jerry graduated from Pulaski High School with the Class of 1972. He was the manager of the wrestling team during his high school years and continued to attend matches thereafter. In 2017, Jerry was named the recipient of the National Wrestling Hall of Fame’s Medal of Courage. After high school, he attended NWTC, earning an associate’s degree in business. He worked as a financial management associate for the Pulaski Coop for over 30 years. Jerry was talking to kids at the Rawhide Boys Ranch and talking to nursing students about caring for people with disabilities. He would also drive disabled veterans in his van to VA hospitals in Wisconsin.

Jerry was a life member of St. Stanislaus Church in Hofa Park and the Polish National Alliance. He loved attending his nieces and nephews events and was a huge fan of Chad Przybylski & the Polka Rhythms. Jerry was a Packers season ticket holder and enjoyed hooking up and watching games.

Jerry is survived by seven siblings: Lawrence (Colleen) Lasecki, Gregory (Jayne) Lasecki, Kenneth Lasecki, Judith Skenandore, Linda (Darrell) Hylok, Dale (Germaine) Lasecki and Laurie (Chad) Przybylski; and several nieces and nephews.

He was predeceased by his parents, Harvey and Aurelia and numerous aunts and uncles.

Friends are invited to meet with family on Tuesday, April 19 at BVM ASSUMPTION CHURCH, 119 E.
