The Gold Ribbon Fundraiser, hosted by the singer-songwriter Stephen leeson and TV and radio host Sharon clancy, was presented live at the Scientology Community Center in Firhouse, Dublin, and released for viewing worldwide.

Performing arts teacher alana fox opened the show with dancers from Watson Twin Academy Dance & Performing Arts Studio.

The singer was also present Hannah roddy who recently recorded with Imelda May, and 16-year-old singer-songwriter Ruby o’kelly, accompanied by the producer and arranger Marc Cahill. Ruby’s passion for this charity inspired this fundraiser.

Paddy Casey’s moving show was accompanied by his daughter Saoirse Casey, an accomplished singer and songwriter.

The show featured the 2019 ireland To have talent Finalists Sea of Change Choir.

The audience was moved by a very personal interview with Jimmy Norman, co-founder of Aoibheann’s Pink Tie.

“Aoibheann’s pink tie was born out of hardship,” Norman said. “My little girl Aoibheann was diagnosed with cancer in 2009 when she was 7 years old… I had never even heard of childhood cancer. Going from an ordinary day to learning that her child has cancer is so extreme and so out of the realm of comprehension …. She fought a very courageous battle in her young life. “

“… The company I was working for closed… suddenly I was completely broke. At that time, in 2009-2010, there was also a collapse of the economy… I ended up staying with Aoibheann at the St John’s Ward, the pediatric cancer ward.… And I think I was put there for a reason. It was to watch the suffering, the pain and the hardships – fathers sleeping in their cars, mothers n ‘ not having enough money to pay for parking outside.… And that was the seed of Aoibheann’s Pink Tie. “

Aoibheann’s Pink Tie charity was established in 2010 in memory of Aoibheann. When Aoibheann died, men wore pink ties at funerals, which was her favorite color.

All funds raised through this fundraiser at the Church of Scientology Community Center go directly to the charity.
