Theodore Lee Curran

Theodore Lee Curran (Teddy, Ted) died suddenly on December 26, 2021, at the age of 46.

Raised in Bucks County, Pennsylvania, Teddy attended Council Rock Schools and graduated from Council Rock North. During these years, he participated in wrestling, baseball, volleyball, basketball and football on school and club teams. Ted attended James Madison University where he graduated with a Bachelor of Business Administration (Summa Cum Laude). There, he spent a semester in Salamanca, Spain, and extended his fluency in Spanish. He continued his education by earning his MBA from Carnegie Mellon University.

Ted was good with numbers and problem solving; therefore, his professional life has always included positions in finance. In Pittsburgh, he had the privilege of serving as Executive Director of Finance at Carnegie Mellon’s Tepper School of Business. His most recent job was at UPMC where he was Senior Director of Insurance Services. Ted has demonstrated a dedication to his positions and an appreciation for the extraordinary members of his staff. Ted served as Treasurer for O’Hara Township in Pittsburgh. He has supported the Cultural Trust of Pittsburgh in various aspects. Teddy worked quietly, often helping others in need. He was humbled about accomplishments like finishing the Pittsburgh Marathon without training.

Ted is survived by his wife Erin, his beloved children Luke and Elena, and his devoted mother Dorothy Curran. He is also survived by his mother-in-law Joan Dalton, a sister-in-law Heather and other caring aunts, uncles, cousins and friends.

Private services will be held. The family has requested that contributions be made to the Addisville Reformed Church 945 Second Street Pike Richboro PA 18954.
