UP Assembly Election 2022 Updates: Attending BJP’s ‘Jan Vishwas Yatra’ rally in Kasganj on Sunday, Union Home Minister Amit Shah said, “Earlier people were afraid of sending their daughters to schools and colleges. Within 4.5 years, under the leadership of Yogi Adityanath, all the goons fled from UP.”

Speaking at Orai in Jalaun, Shah said, “Today, I want to say that we’re going win more than 300 seats in the Uttar Pradesh Assembly election 2022. Samajwadi Party and Bahujan Samaj Party are casteist parties. Modiji and Yogiji stand for ‘Sabka saath, Sabka vikas’.” He added, “Under the Samajwadi Party government in Uttar Pradesh, there were 3 Ps- ‘Parivarwaad, Pakshpaath and Palayan’. BJP today has established law and order in the state.”

Meanwhile, Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath on Saturday targeted the Samajwadi Party, alleging that its government wasted the money meant for the poor on “kabristans”, hired incompetent Urdu translator but did nothing for students and teachers of Sanskrit schools. “During the previous government, the money meant for the poor was wasted on subjects like ‘kabristan’ (graveyard). Those who did not even know Urdu language were appointed as Urdu translators but nothing was done for students and teachers of Sanskrit schools,” he said.

Adityanath went on to say that the opposition alliance was not accepted by people of the state in 2017, and it will not be again in the coming election.

The remark was aimed at the series of alliances the Samajwadi Party (SP) has forged in the run-up to the assembly election due next year in the state. Addressing the ‘Jan Vishwas Yatra’ here at Kalka Garhi Chowk on Ambedkar Road, Adityanath attacked the SP saying while it opposes ‘kanwar yatra’, the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) supports it.
