A chamber of commerce is an association or a network of businessmen aiming to promote and protect the interests of its participants. Chambers of Commerce and their members share a common goal: to enhance and improve the success of its associates.
By organizing functions and inviting residents to familiarize themselves with the various products and services of the community, the Chamber acts as a marketing agent who values ââthe achievements of its members.
Shelly Dodge is the President of the Flower Mound Chamber of Commerce and has accepted an interview to further explain the benefits of being a member of the chamber. Shelly, who is very accomplished in the field of finance, contributed the following short bio:
âShelly Dodge has 35 years of experience in the financial industry. She began her investment career in 1986 in the operations of a brokerage firm. She focused on the area of ââtrust and estate planning, where she gained extensive experience in managing high net worth clients. Given the diversity of assets held in trust accounts, Shelly managed not only stocks and bonds, but also real estate, oil and gas and other types of investment vehicles. In 2000, he was asked to head the investment department of a local community bank. This experience deepened her knowledge of investing and she learned what it really takes to put the customer first.
âShelly founded Visionary Financial Group, where her vision is to help you understand your financial options and stay on track, even during tough times. It is a long-term commitment to work alongside you throughout the years to come. Visionary Financial Group now has four employees, including another financial advisor. She graduated from the University of Texas at Dallas, where she received her bachelor’s degree in economics and finance. It has its Series 7, 63 and 65 licenses as well as its General Lines insurance license.
âShelly is proud to be active in her community and involved with her church. She is currently Chair of the Board of Directors of the Flower Mound Chamber of Commerce and President-elect of Cross Timbers Rotary. She enjoys spending time with her four children. She loves to travel and has visited over 32 states and 19 countries. “
